Moulvibazar: two arrested with foreign alcohol in DB operation

In a special operation of Moulvibazar District Intelligence Branch (DB), two people were arrested along with 5 bottles of foreign alcohol. DB arrested them from Guler Haor Bazar of Islampur Union of Kamalganj at around 10:30 on Wednesday (March 15). The arrested persons have been identified as Bashir Mia (35) and Nekbar Ali (36).

District DB sources said. On Wednesday night around 10:30 PM, ASI Shahabuddin of District Intelligence Branch conducted a raid in Guler Haor Bazar of Islampur Union along with secret information. DB arrested two people in front of Salim Mia's shop in the market. An Officer's Choice Blue paper cartoon was found from the custody of the arrested two.

5 bottles of Indian liquor named Officer's Choice Blue (Pure Grain Whiskey) were seized from inside the cartoon. During preliminary interrogation, the detainees admitted to the DB that they had brought the liquor bottles from the Indian border for sale.

According to the District Intelligence Branch, a case has been filed against those arrested under the Narcotics Control Act at the Kamalganj Police Station.
