162 TB patients are under treatment in Rajnagar

162 TB patients are under treatment in Rajnagar of Moulvibazar. Among them, 19 are children and 17 have relapsed after receiving treatment. However, 10 people have recovered due to multi-drug resistant in the body of 13 people, 2 people died.

On the occasion of the day, a rally and discussion meeting was organized jointly by Rajnagar Upazila Health Complex, Frontier New Day and Heed Bangladesh this morning.

The upazila health department also said that according to the latest statistics, 7 thousand 204 people have recovered so far. In the last three months, 10 patients with multi-drug resistance have recovered. However, one MDR patient is still under treatment. MDR patients are at increased risk because drugs do not work as easily in their bodies.

If everyone is not aware of tuberculosis prevention, the danger may increase. Free diagnosis is being done in collaboration with HEED Bangladesh. It was also informed in the meeting that treatment and medicines are being provided to the affected with government support.
