Moulvibazar has suffered power outage due to Kalboishakhi storm. As a result, Moulvibazar city and surrounding areas have been plunged into darkness since the cyclone on Sunday (April 2) afternoon. The Electricity Development Board says that due to this tree there are repeated disasters in Moulvibazar.

According to the Electricity Development Board and local sources, the Kalbaisakhi storm suddenly occurred on Sunday afternoon. After the storm, power went out in Moulvibazar city and surrounding areas.

Habibul Bahar, civil engineer of the Power Development Board, told iNews that two poles were broken in the storm on Srimangal road in the city. Meanwhile, the 33 KV line was damaged. A tree planted on an embankment fell on a power line in suburban Hasanpur area. It breaks power lines.

Meanwhile, local people said that the soil of acacia and eucalyptus trees planted on the dam has moved. As a result, the roots of the trees have become weak. The trees fell on the power lines in the stormy wind.

Habibul Bahar, civil engineer of the Electricity Development Board, said that these trees may be removed or hard soil should be given at the base of the trees. Otherwise this problem will occur again and again.

When asked about this, Executive Engineer of Water Development Board Javed Iqbal told Eye News that the trees and land are owned by local people. Dams are built on privately owned land. Talk to the local people to remove the tree or strengthen it with soil at the base of the tree.

Meanwhile, electricity has started coming to different areas of the city since 8:30 pm on Sunday. However, many areas of the city and suburbs are in darkness till the writing of this report at 10:30 pm.

Habibul Bahar, Chief Engineer of Electricity Development Board, said that people of the electricity department are working to normalize the line with flashlights in the dark of night in the stormy wind. I am now in Hasanpur. Supervising the work on the ground. Power has started to return to many areas. By checking the line, electricity will come to all areas. However, this problem will not be solved if the problem of trees in Hasanpur is not solved.

Chandnighat union chairman Akhtar Uddin told I News about tree removal, I will take quick action in this regard. I will talk to local people, electricity department and water development board as soon as I wake up in the morning. If I have to remove the tree I will do it. If you want to put soil at the base of the tree, I will arrange to give soil.

Union Chairman Akhtar Uddin said that seven trees fell on the road a few days ago. I quickly remove them with local people. But I didn't know about such a big electricity disaster due to the trees in Hasanpur. I will take immediate action in this regard.
