Sunamganj : Lightning strike k i l l s two

Two people died due to lightning in Sunamganj. The incident took place at Chatak and Doarabazar in Sunamganj on Thursday (June 15). A farmer named Amir Ali (45) was killed by lightning while fishing in Sunamganj's Chatke Howare. The incident happened in the morning at Howre, next to Karilgaon village. The deceased Amir Ali is the son of Wahab Ali of Karilgaon village of Norai Union.

According to local sources, in the morning Amir Ali went to Haor near Karilgaon village to hunt fish. At that time he was injured by lightning. Later, the locals rescued him and took him to the Doarabazar Upazila Health Complex, where the doctors on duty declared him dead.

Dewan Pir Abdul Khalek Raja, chairman of Norai Union, confirmed the matter and said that the matter has been reported to the police station.

Chatak police station OC Khan said. Mainul Zakir said, I have received the news. The police have been sent there. Meanwhile, a person named Ismail Hossain (42) was killed by lightning while fishing in Sunamganj's Doarabazar. He is the son of deceased Abdul Majid of Erukhai village of Lakshipur union of the upazila. This incident happened on Thursday (June 15) morning.

According to local and police sources, on Thursday (June 15) around 8 am, Eruakhai went to Kochubil village for fishing with nets. He was seriously injured when he was struck by lightning while fishing. Later, when he was taken to Doarabazar Upazila Health Complex, the doctors on duty declared him dead.
