Finally relief rain in Sylhet

After the continuous heat wave, finally there is a relief of rain. It started raining at Companyganj in Sylhet from 9 pm on Monday. Around 10 pm which turned into a storm.

Besides, cold air is blowing all over Sylhet since night. Lightning flashed in the sky. A few drops of rain have also started falling in one or two upazilas including Nagar. The Meteorological Department is expecting rain in the entire district during the night.

Continuous heat wave is going on in the country for the last 14 days. Meanwhile it has spread across the country. Somewhere the heat wave has become intense. The people of the country are panting because of the heat. In the meantime, relief returned to Companyganj in Sylhet.

Companyganj journalist Sohrab Hossain said that rain started in Companyganj around 9 pm on Monday. The intensity of the rain is gradually increasing. He said that the storm and industrial rain started around 10 pm.

He said that nature has cooled down in this rain after Hapityesh rose in continuous heat.

Abdul Qayyum of Zindabazar area of the city also expressed relief as the temperature started to cool down after evening. He said, Eid business also decreased in summer. It is hot and load shedding on it. So the shop was not going to support. After evening, the wind started and the heat decreased a lot.

Sayeed Ahmad Chowdhury, senior meteorologist of Sylhet Meteorological Office, said that there is a possibility of rain in Sylhet at night. The whole of Sylhet is likely to receive rain tonight. We have already given this glimpse.
