The purpose of this great initiative of the army is “so that some poor people get the opportunity to celebrate Eid like everyone else”. It may be noted that the army personnel voluntarily contribute their allotted portion of dry food (rice, flour, dal, oil, sugar, salt, rice sugar powder, semai, tea leaves and powdered milk) to the food assistance program.

The Bangladesh Army will continue its all-out efforts for the welfare of the people of Sylhet and will continue this kind of humanitarian assistance program shoulder to shoulder along with increasing amity and harmony.
