Mayor Arif was sent to Dhaka for better treatment
Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury went to Dhaka for better treatment. He left for Dhaka by air from Osmani International Airport at around 12:15 PM on Wednesday. The chief health officer of SCC confirmed the matter Dr. Zahidul Islam Sumon.
He said that Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury went to the bathroom last Sunday around 2:30 in the afternoon. But he could not come out of the bathroom, he was sweating. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, he was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a private hospital in the city around 3 am. Dr. there. Mayor's treatment is under the supervision of Shishir Basak. Several tests are also conducted. It gives glimpse of mild heart attack.
CSIC's health officer also said that Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury suffered from a heart attack around 2014. Then a ring was put on his heart. Apart from heart problems, he also has high blood pressure and diabetes. Before this he was treated in Dhaka. That's why he went to Dhaka for better treatment. He will be admitted to the United Hospital there.
Dr. Zahid said, if angiogram is required, it will be done in Dhaka.
