13 dengue patients d i e; 1533 hospitalized in 24 hours
Thirteen dengue patients died and 1533 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (from Monday 8 am to Tuesday 8 am). With the latest death, a total of 127 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 5,569 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka. Of them, 3,443 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 2,126 are in other divisions
As many as 24,000 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year. Some 18,304 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
