Environment minister hospitalised with dengue
Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after being diagnosed with dengue.
The minister is now under the supervision of Dr Abul Kalam Azad, chairman of the internal medicine department of the hospital.
Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad said that he was admitted to the hospital a few days ago. He was found to have low sodium levels in his body. But now he is fine, he added.
Rajib Deb Nath, the minister's personal staff, said that he was diagnosed with dengue on August 22.
