PM pays tribute to Bangabandhu on Mujibnagar Day
Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of historic Mujibnagar Day.
On Monday (April 17) at 7:50 a.m., he laid a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu at 32 Dhanmondi in the capital.
After paying tribute to the Prime Minister, the members of Awami League, affiliates and fraternal organizations paid tribute to Bangabandhu by placing flowers on his portrait. At this time, the area became lively with slogans.
It should be noted that today is the historic Mujibnagar Day. On this day of Agnijhra in 1971, the swearing-in of the first cabinet of the People's Republic of Bangladesh was held as a beacon for the Bengali nation affected by the invading forces.
On this day, the grave of an integral Pakistan was marked by reading the oath of the government and the declaration of independence. A new history of independent Bangladesh was written. The independent and sovereign People's Republic of Bangladesh took place on the world map through the 9-month armed liberation war.
