No woman is allowed to give guard of honour: Kader Siddiqui
Krishak Sramik Janata League president Bangbir Quader Siddiqui Bir Uttam obstructed women's UNO while giving guard of honor (state honour) after the death of a brave freedom fighter in Tangail's Sakhipur. On Saturday (April 29) during the preparation of state honors on the death of brave freedom fighter Abdul Hamid Khan, Sakhipur PM Pilot Model Govt. This incident took place in school and college grounds.
It is known that the brave freedom fighter Abdul Hamid Khan died at his home in Sakhipur at around 12:30 pm on Friday. Then on Saturday afternoon before Abdul Hamid Khan's funeral prayer, Sakhipur woman UNO Farzana Alam appeared there to give a guard of honour. At this time Bangbir Quader Siddiqui stopped him. Quader Siddiqui asks a male officer to give him a guard of honour. After that UNO left, the funeral prayer of the brave freedom fighter was held. Later, however, after Kader Siddiqui passed away, the funeral was held with state honors under the leadership of the UNO on the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner.
In a speech before the funeral prayer, Kader Siddiqui said that no woman has the right to give a guard of honour. He came here and abused the body of the freedom fighter. If Bangabandhu was alive now, I would have kicked many officials here and sent them to Dhaka.
At that time, he called for the removal of this UNO from Sakhipur by tomorrow for disrespecting a brave freedom fighter.
He also said that Abdul Hamid Khan was a great freedom fighter. Even though the country became independent, the independence of the country was not meaningful, the freedom fighters did not get proper respect. I am very disappointed with the police guard of honour. Even though the brave freedom fighter died around 12 o'clock in the night, no one came to pay him statehood even by 2 o'clock today. No matter how big the girl is, girls are not allowed to join the funeral.'
In this regard, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Farzana Alam said, "I did not go to perform Janaza prayers." I went to pay national honors to the brave freedom fighters. Bangbir Quader Siddiqui insulted me in front of thousands of people. Kader Siddiqui is a great freedom fighter. I have no complaint against him.
