Indian High Commissioner meeting with the President
Prannoy Verma, High Commissioner of India appointed in Dhaka met with President Md. Sahabuddin.
Today (Tuesday) the Indian High Commission informed the meeting of High Commissioner Verma with the President at Bangabhaban.
According to the High Commission, the High Commissioner extended warm greetings to the President of Bangladesh on behalf of the President and Prime Minister of India. He informed the President of Bangladesh about the recent significant progress in bilateral relations.
President Sahabuddin mentioned India's cooperation during the Liberation War of 1971 and the deep bond of friendship between India and Bangladesh. The President recalled his own relationship with India as a freedom fighter.
President Sahabuddin expressed his full confidence in the continued growth of the multifaceted partnership between Bangladesh and India in the future.
