Rain with gusty wind likely today

Mild heat waves are blowing in different parts of the country. But the rain brought some relief in the heat. On Monday (May 22), the rainfall may increase slightly, the Meteorological Department said. The Meteorological Department has also said that if the rainfall increases, the heat wave will decrease.

On Sunday (21 May) at 8:30 pm, the next 24-hour forecast of the Meteorological Department has informed this.

According to the Meteorological Office, in the next 24 hours there may be temporary rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder in many places of Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions. Along with that, day and night temperatures may drop slightly across the country.

In the next 24 hours, the mild heat wave that is flowing over Rajshahi, Pabna, Madaripur and Moulvibazar districts along with Khulna division may continue. Rain and thundershowers are likely to continue over the country for the next two days and the trend of rains is likely to increase over the next five days.

According to the forecast, the highest temperature in the country on Sunday was recorded at 37.7 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi and the lowest temperature was recorded in Sylhet and Nikli at 20.5 degrees Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall recorded in the country was 66 mm in Netrakona.
