Air chief calls on President
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sheikh Abdul Hannan today paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban here this noon.
"During the meeting, the Chief of Air Staff apprised the President about the overall activities of the Air Force, including the steps taken for the development of the Air Force," President's press secretary Md Joynal Abedin told this afternoon.
The Head of State appreciated the role of Air Force in different socio-economic development along with the protecting the sovereignty of the country.
The President, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, put emphasis on increasing the training programme to further advance of the Air Force.
President's Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salahuddin Islam and Secretary (attachment) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were present on the occasion.
