Gold price increased, effective from todays
The country's market witnessed a rise in the price of gold, with an increase of 1,750 taka. As a result, the cost of 22 carat gold has increased to 98 444 taka. The new price will be effective from todays, Thursday (June 8).
Bajus issued a press release on Wednesday (June 7) regarding this new price signed by Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton, the Vice Chairman of the Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee.
According to the new prices, the price of best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been increased by Tk 1,750 to Tk 98,444. The price of gold per 21 carat has been increased by Tk 1,633 to Tk 93,953.
The price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,400 to Tk 80,540. And the traditional gold price has been reduced by 1 thousand 166 taka to 67 thousand 126 taka.
The price of silver remains unchanged despite the fall in gold prices. 22 carat silver is selling at 1 thousand 715 taka, 21 carat silver at 1 thousand 633 taka, 18 carat silver at 1 thousand 400 taka and traditional style silver at 1 thousand 50 taka.
Earlier, on March 18, the price of the best quality gold was increased by Tk 7,698 in one leap in the country's history. In this, the price of good quality gold is 98 thousand 794 taka.
