BNP to be responsible for spoiling peaceful environment: Quader

The BNP would be held accountable, according to Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the Awami League, if the nation's peaceful environment is harmed in any way.

In a message to the media, the leader of AL promised that his organization will stand with the people in fighting any acts of terrorism or violence perpetrated in the name of a movement.

The declaration was made in response to statements made by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir that were intentionally misleading and political in nature.

The AL general secretary claims the BNP set hundreds of innocent people on fire in 2014 in order to thwart the elections. mHe said that fires destroyed more than 500 schools, land offices, residences, and businesses in addition to about 3,800 autos.

The BNP, according to Quader, is preparing to conduct similar terrorist activities, and he urged the BNP men to forgo conspiracy theories in favour of campaigning directly with voters.

He went on to claim that they are trying to sabotage the forthcoming general elections in the country by posing as a movement. History, according to Obaidul Quader, demonstrates that the BNP's main political tools are terrorism and deceit.

He asserted that Ziaur Rahman terrorized the people in an effort to suppress democratic rights.
