BNP-police clashes: 11 cases filed, over 500 made accused
11 cases have been filed against BNP leaders and activists with different police stations over Saturday’s violence and clashes between law enforcers and party leaders and activists.
Of them, nine cases were filed by police and two others by ordinary people who were the victims of the violence.
Faruk Hossain, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the information on Sunday (July 30).
More than 500 people have been made accused in the 11 cases filed with seven police stations, according to the documents of the cases. According to the documents, three cases were field with Uttara East Police Station, two cases each with Uttara East and Jatrabari Police Stations while one case each was field with Kadamtali, Sutrapur, Airport and Bangshal police stations.
