Dengue: 10 more die, 2,584 hospitalised in a day
Ten more dengue patients died and 2,584 others were hospitalised in 24 hours preceding this morning. With this, the total number of deaths from dengue this year rose to 261 against the caseload of 54,416, including 30,331 in Dhaka.
A total of 44,891 dengue patients have been released from hospitals, of which 25,257 are in Dhaka.
The total number of deaths from dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382, of which 23,162 were recorded outside Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Experts have urged the authorities concerned to conduct extensive drives identifying clusters of Aedes mosquitoes to check the Dengue disease.
