23 sacks of taka found in Kishoreganj`s Pagla mosque donation
Twenty-three sacks of taka were found in eight donation vaults of Kishoreganj's historical Pagla Mosque on Saturday morning. Now, counting is going.
The eight donation vaults were opened under the supervision of Kazi Mohua Mamtaz, additional district magistrate and donation boxes opening committee's convener, at 8am on Saturday.
Deputy commissioner Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad confirmed it. He said the counting of taka began with the participation of additional deputy commissioner ATM Farhad Chowdhury, tenior assistant commissioner Sheikh Jaber Ahmed, senior assistant commissioners executive magistrate Nashita Tul Islam, Tania Akter, Nabila Ferdous, Mahmuda Begum Shathi, Fatema Tuz Zohra, the mosque Imam Mufti Khalilur Rahman, Rupali Bank's AGM Rafiqul Islam, 112 madrasa students, 50 bank staff, 34 people from the mosque committee and 10 members of law enforcing agencies.
Total amount of money will be known after counting. Earlier on May 6, 19 sacks of money amounting Tk 5,59,7,689 were found in the donation boxes.
On January 7, 20 sacks of money amounting Tk 4,18,16,744 were found in the donation boxes along with foreign currencies, gold and silver. The money was donated in three months at that time.
