12kg LPG price goes up by Tk 144
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk144 to Tk1,284 for the month of September.
In August, the price was Tk 1,140.
BERC chairman Nurul Amin announced the new price at a press conference organized at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission office on Sunday (Sep 3).
According to a BERC notice, the new price will be effective from 6:00pm today.
Prices of other LPG cylinders -- from 5.5kg to 45kg -- will go up accordingly, said BERC authority.
Earlier in July, BERC lowered the price of 12-kilogram cylinders of LPG by Tk 75.24.
