Ramadan office 9 am to 3:30 pm
New office hours have been fixed for during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. According to the new schedule, the office will run from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The Cabinet on Monday (March 13) fixed this office schedule for fasting for all government, semi-government and autonomous institutions.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the cabinet meeting at her office in the morning. Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain.
The Cabinet Department said that the office will be open from 9 am to 3:30 pm during the fasting period. There will be a break between 1:15 and 1:30 for Zohar prayers. There will be weekend holidays on Friday and Saturday.
Ramadan, the fasting month of Muslims, will start from March 23 or 24, depending on the sighting of the moon. Earlier the office hours were from 9 am to 5 pm but now the office schedule is running from 9 am to 4 pm to save energy.
However, the schedule of private institutions will be determined by the Cabinet Secretary Md. Mahbub Hossain.
