Eid holiday increased by one day
The upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holiday has been extended by one day. This approval was given in the Cabinet meeting held in the Cabinet Chamber at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on Monday (April 10).
After the meeting, the Cabinet Secretary said this information in the briefing at the Secretariat. Mahbub Hossain.
He said, the good news is that the 20th will be a public holiday. Make the journey of people smooth.
This Eid, the two days of the three-day public holiday were the weekend between Friday and Saturday. Ramadan begins on Friday, March 24. This time, the government made a list of holidays by fixing the date of Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday, April 22 for 29 days of Ramadan.
In that case, there will be Eid holidays from 21st to 23rd April on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Before this, on Wednesday, April 19, Shab Qadr holiday. However, the office was open on Thursday, April 20, before the start of the Eid holiday.
Now, due to the declaration of holiday on April 20, the Eid holiday has become five days.
If Ramadan is 30 days, Eid-ul-Fitr will be on April 23 (Sunday). In that case the leave will be increased by one more day.
