BNP meeting with US Ambassador

A delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met US Ambassador Peter Haas posted in Dhaka. A meeting was held on Sunday (April 16) at the ambassador's residence in the capital's Baridhara. BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the meeting.

He said that a meeting was held at his residence today (Sunday) from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the invitation of the US ambassador. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Party Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid participated in the meeting on behalf of BNP.

When asked about the discussion of the meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told Dhaka Post, "I cannot say anything about the discussion with the diplomats."

In this regard, he advised to talk to the party's foreign affairs committee chairman Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury.

Later, when Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury was called, he refused to comment on the meeting. He said, we are not talking outside about the meeting. Sorry, can't talk about it.
