Mother, daughter killed in Tangail hit by a train!
Four persons, including a mother and daughter, died after being hit by a train in Kamankhamor area of Kalihati in Tangail. The incident took place on Wednesday (April 19) around 5:30 am in the Kamankhamor area of Salla Union of the Upazila, next to the Dhaka-Bangabandhu Setupurba highway.
The deceased are Basanti (60), wife of deceased Gopal of Nikrail Das para area of Bhuyapur upazila, Aarti Rani Das (55), wife of deceased orphan Das, Shanti Rani (45), wife of Hari Bandhu of the same area and their daughter Shilpi Rani (30). Shanti Rani and Shilpi Rani about mother daughter.
The relatives said that they were going to bring Zakat around 5:30 am. At that time, the Dhaka-bound Ekta Express train leaving from North Bengal was cut off and 4 people including a mother and daughter died on the spot.
Bangabandhu Setupurba Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Nazmul said that four women were walking on the railway line early in the morning. At that time, the four died when the Ekta Ekpress train hit them. Police are working to recover the body.
