SSC exams from tomorrow

The 2023 SSC and equivalent exams are starting from tomorrow Sunday. 20 lakh 72 thousand 163 candidates are participating in the examination this year from 11 education boards across the country. Among them, 10 lakh 21 thousand 197 students and 10 lakh 50 thousand 966 female students.

The examination will be held in 3 thousand 810 centers of 29 thousand 798 institutions. Compared to last year, 207 institutions have increased and 20 centers have increased.

This information was given by the Minister of Education after the meeting of the National Monitoring and Law and Order Committee at the International Mother Language Institute on SSC and equivalent exams on April 25. Deepu Moni.

Meanwhile, three other ministries and local administrations associated with education and examination are in a strict position to prevent leakage of questions in the examination. Also a separate control room has been opened from the Ministry of Education.

Those concerned said that although Saturday is an official holiday for the Ministry of Education and Boards of Education, a team is working in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Bangladesh Post and Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). A team supervised by BTRC is monitoring Facebook. Officials of the Ministry of Education and Inter-Education Board are working with it.

When asked to know, the coordinator of Dhaka Inter-education Board and chairman of Dhaka Education Board Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar said on Saturday morning that BTRC has started monitoring Facebook and mobile transactions from today. The officials of the Board of Education will also be in BTRC. Also, Instagram, YouTube and all other social media pages of question leak rumor makers will be closed quickly. For this, BTRC will maintain constant communication with Facebook and other authorities.

He said that it is more difficult to prevent rumors than to be questioned. Because questioning is difficult but rumor is easy to spread. In the meeting of the law and order committee regarding the examination on April 25, it was decided to strictly monitor this issue.

Steps to prevent leaks and rumours
It is learned that various steps have been taken to conduct the examination peacefully and smoothly. Law enforcement personnel and BTRC have been kept on high alert. The IDs of groups or individuals who spread rumors of question leaks on Facebook or spread question leaks will be identified and given to special branches of the police and intelligence agencies. Mobile transactions of people who create such rumors will also be monitored.

Rumors of question leaks on Facebook and suspicious transactions in mobile banking will be monitored during the examination. All officers and employees of BG Press involved in printing the question will be kept under intelligence surveillance. Even teachers and officials involved in question sorting and carrying will be under surveillance.

The Chairman of Dhaka Education Board said that it has been decided to close the pages of those creating rumors of question leaks in all social media. For this, BTRC will maintain constant communication with Facebook and other authorities. If the same amount of money is transacted multiple times on a mobile number, then the concerned agent should inform the officer-in-charge of the nearest police station.

The Central Secretary can use a normal (feature) phone without facilities for taking pictures and using internet. No mobile phone or unauthorized electronic device can be used in the examination center by anyone other than the center secretary.

Officers, teachers, employees engaged in receiving and transporting question papers from Treasury police station cannot use any phone.

There are other steps to prevent question leakage
The education boards have taken several other steps to conduct the examination properly. Meanwhile, students must enter the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. If a candidate is late due to unavoidable reasons, his name, roll number, time of entry, reason for delay etc. will be recorded in a register.

Officers, teachers, employees engaged in receiving and transporting question papers from the Treasury police station cannot use any phone and microbuses with black glass or any such vehicles cannot be used for carrying question papers.

The question set code will be communicated to the secretary 25 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination. Accordingly, the center secretary, tag officer and police officer will open the question paper packet as per the rules.

Treasury in case of district and Khana in case of upazila should preserve the trunk of the question paper. Entry of general public will be prohibited within 200 yards of the examination center during the examination.

If any institution, institution head, teacher does anything illegal in the examination, action will be taken against that institution, institution head, teacher. If the guilty teacher and employee is in a government educational institution, he/she will be temporarily suspended from service by departmental system and in case of a private educational institution, his/her MPO will be suspended.

The question papers should be brought by determining the time required to reach the question center from the treasury/ police station.

8 centers outside the country, 374 candidates
This year a total of 374 candidates will participate in the SSC and equivalent examinations in 8 centers outside the country. Among them, there are 89 people in Jeddah, 51 people in Riyadh, 4 people in Tripoli, 77 people in Doha, 41 people in Abu Dhabi, 27 people in Dubai, 65 people in Bahrain, 20 people in Saham Oman.
