41st BCS results likely to be published within July
The result of the 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination is likely to be announced in late July before the 40th BCS non-cadre recruitment recommendations.
Sources at the Bangladesh Public Service Commission said that the results of the BCS examination would not be withheld due to the incomplete works of the previous BCS, according to media report.
The circular for the 41st BCS was published on November 27, 2019, bringing a record number of 475,000 applicants for the preliminary exam. Initially, the 41st BCS was intended to appoint 2,135 officials for various positions, but later the number of posts was increased to 2,505.
The results of the 41st BCS preliminary test were published in August 2021, with 21,056 candidates passing the exam. The written tests were conducted simultaneously at eight centres — Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh — from November 29 to December 7, 2021.
The written exam results were announced on November 10, 2022, with 13,000 applicants passing the examination. Subsequently, the viva voce was conducted from March 5 to June 13, 2023.
