No one from 48 institutions passes SSC, equivalent exams
The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations of 2023 have been published. A total of 80.39 percent students have passed the examinations.
The pass rate has reduced from the previous year. This rate was 87.44 percent last year. Meanwhile, no students from 48 institutions of the country have passed this year’s examinations. The number of such kind of institutions was 50 last year.
A total of 2,354 schools under all education boards in the country achieved 100 per cent pass rate in this year’s SSC and equivalent exams.
Education Minister Dipu Moni disclosed this at a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute (IMLI) in the capital on Friday. A total of 1,83,578 students secured GPA-5 this year, and its number was 2,69, 602 last year.
Some 20,41,450 students under the 11 education boards appeared for the SSC, Dakhil and SSC (vocational) examinations in 2023. Education Minister Dipu Moni handed over the copies of results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a programme held at Ganabhaban in the city on Friday morning. Chairmen of 11 education boards were also present.
