16 students banned from hall for ragging in SUST
Shahjalal University of Science and Technology has banned 16 students from staying in the residential hall for ragging. Besides, a student has been expelled from the university for life after being found guilty of assaulting a student.
The Vice Chancellor of the University Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed informed this information on Thursday morning.
He said, as per the decision of the syndicate on Wednesday, 16 students of the university have been banned from the residence hall for ragging last February; They will not be able to stay in the academic life.
Besides, a student of computer science engineering department has been expelled from the university for life for raising his hand on a female student.
Moreover, in another incident, a car driver of the university has been sent on compulsory retirement, said the vice-chancellor.
