Distribution of Eid clothes of ‘SUST Swapnotthan’ in Bede Palli

Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), one of the voluntary organizations, has completed the first phase of Eid clothes distribution program in Bede village of Swapnotthan.

On Saturday (April 8) in two Muslim Bede villages of Pargana Bazar, Sylhet, the volunteers of Swapnotthan distributed these Eid clothes, said Abu Raihan, the campaign editor of Swapnotthan.

Publicity Secretary Abu Raihan said, since the beginning of the establishment, Swapnotthan has been working for the underprivileged people. Even though Eid brings joy to everyone, some disadvantaged people do not get to taste this joy. This initiative of Swapnotthan to bring smiles to the faces of the deprived people. In continuation of this, Eid clothes have been distributed among 56 people of 11 families in two deprived Muslim Bede villages of Sylhet. Along with cloths, food was also distributed, which included rice, pulses, oil, onions, eggs, polao rice, semai, sugar, powdered milk, chickpeas, dates, garam masala etc.

About the distribution of Eid clothes of Swapnotthan, Bede village chief Arun Mia said, 'You have come and helped us almost every year, so we are very happy. When I didn't get any help from anyone during Corona, you still came and distributed clothes and food during this time. I pray to Allah for you, that you can continue to do better. I wish you and your family members stay healthy.'

Gulshan Mia, a resident of Bede village, said, 'You have given us and our children clothes and food. May Allah keep you safe and protect you from danger.

In this regard, Maibom Darpan Singh, general secretary of Swapnotthan, said, 'Swapnotthan stands by the side of cold people during the outbreak of winter or lends a helping hand in the treatment of a traveler who dies due to lack of treatment. Swapnotthan appeared as the messenger of happiness. Now we have delivered their happiness to two Bede villages in Pargana Bazar. Swapnotthan is grateful to those who extended their helping hand in this event.
