Things keep in mind to get Australia student visa
Australia is one of the most popular countries for higher education. According to government records of last December, four lakh visa holders are studying various subjects in the country. In the fiscal year 2022-23, more than 1 lakh 66 thousand students have been given visas out of a total of 1 lakh 79 thousand applications.
Post-Corona, student visa approval rate has increased to a record amount to meet the skills and financial shortage. However, many people are not getting visa due to neglecting some things. There are several things to keep in mind while applying as part of fulfilling the student visa requirements.
Must prove you will return
A prerequisite for a student visa is 'Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)'. That is, it is very important to prove that you will continue your studies after coming to Australia on a student visa and return to your home country after your studies. Most visas are canceled due to this issue.
For this, a 'GTE' statement should be written separately along with the visa application form along with the immigration department. The statement shall describe all circumstances surrounding the student.
Here to mention, why not study in Bangladesh on your choice; What is the future of this matter; Reasons for choosing Australia; The reason for choosing the educational institution to be admitted; How to apply this knowledge in Bangladesh after studying and why you are more likely to return to Bangladesh (job or family business) etc.
It is also very important to have an advance letter of who you are in Bangladesh, property in your name, acceptability of your studies in the Bangladeshi job market, employment in Bangladesh after completing your studies, etc. Such sufficient documents should be submitted along with the application form.
Financial capability
Working part-time while studying abroad is very common around the world. The Immigration Department also allows students 20 hours a week to work (currently more hours, but will be reduced next June). But international education is a large commercial sector.
So the immigration department will not want to issue a visa to someone who is thinking of paying for his studies by working in that country. To confirm this aspect, while applying, the applicant must show that he has enough money for tuition fees and living expenses, or that someone will provide him with this money every month, must also prove strongly. In general case a student has to show financial support of more than 30 lakh rupees for 12 months, which will be more or less according to the course.
Must have health insurance
An important condition of the student visa is that the student must first purchase health insurance for the duration of his course before applying for the student visa. Health insurance premiums can be paid monthly or in lump sum.
Admission to the course
Before you can apply for a student visa in Australia, you must be admitted to a course at an educational institution in the country. They will then give you an enrollment certificate, known as Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE), from the country's Ministry of Education. Visa cannot be applied for without it, even if it is done, the application will be cancelled.
Proof of English Proficiency
Proof of English proficiency is very much a must especially when traveling to Australia. Nothing new to say about it, note that English proficiency scores are not the same for educational institutions and visas. Although the requirements of educational institutions vary by course and institution, you must score IELTS 5.5 or PTE 42 or equivalent to get a visa.
