All institutions are ordered to celebrate Pahela Baishakh
Bangla New Year or Pahela Baishakh will be celebrated on April 14. On this day, the day should be celebrated in all educational institutions of the country. The Ministry of Culture has given instructions to celebrate the first Baisakh in a festive atmosphere under its own management. Which has already reached the educational institutions. However, the Ramadan vacation is currently going on in the educational institutions.
This decision was taken in an inter-ministerial meeting organized on the occasion of Bengali New Year celebrations on March 20. State Minister for Culture KM Khalid presided over the meeting. Later, on March 28, the Ministry of Culture informed the Ministry of Education's Secondary and Higher Education Department, Technical and Madrasa Education Department and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education about this decision.
In that meeting it was decided that all educational institutions will celebrate Bengali New Year in a festive atmosphere under their own management. UNESCO should seriously promote the inclusion of Mars Procession in the list of Intangible World Cultural Heritage. Must rally with students in the morning. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will issue instructions in this regard. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Department of Secondary and Higher Education and Department of Technical and Madrasa Education will implement this matter.
Meanwhile, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has issued a separate instruction for educational institutions at the secondary and higher secondary levels. The notification signed by the Assistant Director of the Directorate Rupak Roy said that in addition to celebrating Baisakh, Poila will undertake activities on 'Diversified Baisakh' in the 6th and 7th classes in coordination with the new curriculum this year and subject teachers will participate in it.
