Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Don 3’ in the works
The highly-anticipated third installment of the action-thriller film series, "Don", is currently in the works, according to producer Ritesh Sidhwani. Starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, the franchise has been a fan favorite since its first release in 2006. SRK will continue to play the lead role, while Farhan Akhtar will direct the movie.
Excel Entertainment, the production banner co-owned by Akhtar and Sidhwani, had acquired the rights to the 1978 movie of the same name, starring Amitabh Bachchan. They then remade the film with Shah Rukh and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles in 2006.
"Don" and "Don 2" were directed by Akhtar and released in 2006 and 2011, respectively. Sidhwani said that they are waiting for Akhtar to complete the script before proceeding with the movie, adding that everyone is eagerly anticipating the release of the third installment.
The "Don" franchise is beloved for its gripping storyline, high-octane action sequences, and stylish cinematography. With the upcoming film still in its scripting phase, fans can't wait to see what exciting twists and turns await them in the latest installment.
