Award winning ‘Adim’ screens in 3 theatres
“Adim” hit 3 theatres in Bangladesh on May 26. The movie was previously awarded the Silver Saint George Award and Netpac Jury Award at the 44th Moscow International Film Festival 2022.
The debut film of director Juboraj Shamim is being screened at Star cineplex: 2:20 PM, 7:40 PM, Blockbuster cinema: 11: 30 AM, 2:40 PM, 8:00 PM and CineScope Narayanganj at 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:30 PM, 8:00 PM.
In August of 2017Juboraj Shamim's path to “Adim” started under Juboraj's production house “Roshayon”, banner. He began by selling the shares of the 84 minute Bangladesh Netherlands co-production film for 5,000 bdt. The cast consists entirely of inhabitants of the Tongi slum where Juboraj shot the film.
During his seven month residence at the slum, he was under a lot of scrutiny. The police often suspected him of dealing drugs, while other times drug dealers would allege that he is an undercover reporter.
