Late star Humayun Faridi`s 71st birthday today
Humayun Faridi was a caste actor, acting was inherent in his existence. Everyone in the theater world understood that a momentary talent was born, this young man would rule one day. Their idea was not wrong, he kept the entire Bengali nation in awe of his magical performance for three consecutive decades.
Humayun Faridi was born on May 29, 1952 in Narinda, Dhaka. Today is the late star's 71st birthday.
Humayun Faridi's father's name is ATM Nurul Islam, mother's name is Begum Farida Islam. Faridi was the second among four siblings. He was a student at United Islamia Government High School. In 1970, passed the Higher Secondary Examination from Chandpur Government College, and he enrolled in organic chemistry at Dhaka University to graduate. But as the war of liberation started the next year, he packed his notebook and pen in a box and took the rifle on his shoulder. Faridi fought like a brave boy against the Pakistani invaders for 9 long months.
While still a student, Humayun Faridi was involved in theater organizations. In 1964, he first acted in the Local stage play in Kishoreganj. He first acted in a TV drama titled 'Nikhoj Sangbad'. The name of Faridi's first acting movie is 'Hulia'.
After that, he became one of the best actors in the country's showbiz for three decades through stage, television, and films. He was fluent in both hero and villain roles. However, Humayun Faridi was widely discussed throughout the country for his role as 'Kankata Ramzan' in the famous 'Sanshaptak' drama broadcast on Bangladesh Television.
Humayun Faridi won the National Film Award in 2004 for the movie 'Matritta'. Besides, the actor won Ekushey Padak (Posthumous) 2018 for dance and acting.
Then February 13, 2012, the first morning of spring he died. Humble respect and love to the memory of this legendary actor on his birthday.
