Salman Khan gives a shoutout to SRK`s `Jawan`
Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have proven they are the best of friends. They broke box office records when Salman made a cameo appearance at SRK's spy thriller "Pathaan", which became blockbuster worldwide.
While Salman didn't appear in Atlee's "Jawan", he made sure to post a special shout-out to his dear buddy and longtime co-star SRK on his Facebook post.
"Absolutely loved 'Jawan' prevue. Our 'Pathaan' has become Jawan. Now this is the kind of a movie we should see in theatres only. I will for sure watch the first day screening of the movie. It was superb Shah Rukh Khan," read his post.
Salman and Shah Rukh have been friends since the early 1990s and have had a complicated relationship ever since. They are most known for their roles as the titular brothers in Rakesh Roshan's 1995 reincarnation film "Karan Arjun."
While they've appeared in each other's films on a frequent basis since then, their most recent collaboration was in "Pathaan," when Salman recreated his character as Tiger from his own espionage thriller trilogy to help Pathaan (Shah Rukh) in a massive train scenario.
They further hinted that Shah Rukh might return the favour in the form of a cameo as Pathaan in Salman's upcoming movie, "Tiger 3," the third installment in the franchise, which also stars Katrina Kaif. "Tiger 3" will be directed by Manish Sharma and will star Emraan Hashmi as the villain. The film will be released in theatres in time for Diwali on November 10.
SRK and Salman Khan will reportedly clash next year in "Pathaan vs Tiger, " which is expected to be one of the most expensive films created in India to date.
