Taylor Swift and Alwyn ‘break up’ after six years together!

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly called time on their romance after six years of dating. The Anti Hero singer, 33, and the Conversations with Friends actor, 32, are thought to have ended their relationship a few weeks ago.

A source said their break-up was why the Catherine Called Birdy star hadn’t been spotted at the Blank Space hitmaker’s current Eras world tour. However, Taylor and the Favourite actor are said to have spit amicably, with the insider saying: ‘It was not dramatic.’ The relationship had just run its course,’ the continued to ET.

The ‘split’ comes after the rumour mill went into overdrive that the notoriously private couple had got engaged. When grilled last year about whether he had popped the question, Joe remained coy and said he wouldn’t say publicly either way. ‘‘If I had a pound for every time I think I’ve been told I’ve been engaged, then I’d have a lot of pound coins,’ he had also joked to WSJ. Joe previously gave a rare insight into why he and Taylor don’t talk publicly about their relationship, telling Elle: ‘It’s not really [because I] want to be guarded and private, it’s more a response to something else.

‘We live in a culture that is so increasingly intrusive … the more you give — and frankly, even if you don’t give it — something will be taken.’

She said: ‘I’m aware people want to know about that side of things. ‘I think we have been successfully very private, and that has now sunk in for people… but I really prefer to talk about work.’
Joe did, however, collaborate on some of Taylor’s tracks, initially under the name William Bowery from her albums folklore and evermore.

The A Christmas Carol actor helped pen some of the lyrics which earned Taylor some Grammys, with the Shake It Off singer eventually going on to praise her boyfriend’s songwriting talents.
