Diplomats` reception in Dubai on the occasion of Independence Day
Bangladesh Consulate General organized a special reception and dinner on the occasion of the 53rd Great Independence and National Day of Bangladesh in honor of diplomats and dignitaries of various countries in the United Arab Emirates.
The event kicks off at 7.30pm on Thursday (March 16) at The Palm Ballroom, Dubai Atlantic. Abdulaziz Al Neyadi and Mohammad Al Meiri of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Emirates were present as chief guests.
Consul General BM Jamal Hossain spoke about the great achievements of the country's independence at the reception conducted by Fatema Jahan, Counselor (Labor) of Consul General of Bangladesh Consulate in Dubai and Northern Emirates. Abu Jafar, Ambassador of Bangladesh Embassy in Abu Dhabi, and senior officials of the embassy were present.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the national anthems of the two countries were played. After that, Bangladesh progressing on the path of prosperity from Bangladesh's independence struggle to Golden Jubilee was highlighted.
Earlier, Consul General BM Jamal Hussain and his wife Abida Hussain welcomed the guests at Dubai Atlantic The Palm Ballroom.
In addition to the ambassadors of different countries, leaders of the expatriate Bengali community from different provinces of the Emirates, politicians and people of various professions were present in the event.
