6th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival begins on September 18

6th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival 2023' is going to be held on September 18 with films from different countries including Bangladesh. The announcement was made at a ceremony at the Multicultural Film Screening Center at 3000 Danforth Avenue in Toronto on Saturday, Canadian local time.

The four-day film festival will be held at the Cineplex Oden and Multicultural Film Screening Center at 22 Levick Avenue in Scarborough.

It is to be noted that after the Toronto Film Forum started its journey in 2014, it opened up a new horizon among the Bangladeshi diaspora of Toronto in film screening, film production and film discussions. In 2017, to mark Canada's 150th anniversary, the Toronto Film Forum organized the 1st Multicultural Film Festival of that year.

Since then, the Toronto Film Forum has been organizing the film festival every year. It was only in 2020 that the Toronto Film Forum was unable to organize a film festival during the crisis of the Corona epidemic.

About 40 documentaries and short and feature films from around 20 cultures are expected to be screened this year. Along with this, there will be a number of filmmakers and actors of the films that will be present during the festival, who have already caught the attention of Sudheejan for their filmmaking style and acting in the country and abroad.

Monis Rafiq, General Secretary of Toronto Film Forum and Coordinator of the 6th Toronto Multicultural Film Festival, presented a written statement at the press conference. Toronto Film Forum Program Editor and Festival Volunteers Committee Convenor Solaiman Talut Robin, Toronto Film Forum Finance Editor and Festival Finance Committee Convener Sahidul Alam Tuku and Toronto Film Forum President and Festival Director Enayet Karim Babul.

As a film organization, the Toronto Film Forum is committed to bringing this 'multicultural spirit' to everyone through film. This year's film festival will feature films from different languages and cultures along with a significant number of films by the youth of Bangladesh. As a result, we will be able to deliver Bangladeshi films to North America very easily.
