Begins of Bangladesh Cricket Association in Portugal
The journey of Bangladesh Cricket Association in Portugal has started with the initiative of expatriate Bangladeshis in Portugal. This initiative is to bring together all Bangladeshis associated with cricket and sports in Portugal.
A 21-member committee has been formed with Zakir Hossain as adviser and convener, Abu Saeed and Mohammad Russell Ahmed as advisors and conveners to attract the young generation living in Portugal to sports. Tanveer Alam Jani, Abdul Waheed Parvez, Kazi Sattar, Lovelu Chowdhury, Member Secretary Imtiaz Ahmed Rana are respectively the convenors of the committee.
Other members of the committee are Emdadur Rahman Raihan, Noman Hossain, Riyad Hossain, Shafi Ahmed Roni, Sabbir Ahmed, Zahid Hasan, Al-Amin, Akash, Sumon, Rubel Howladar, Mamun, Jiban, Sajjad Hossain Rabin, Shubhra Dev and Nazmul Islam.
Abu Saeed, chief advisor of the organization, said that the organization will work to attract young expatriates to sports. Moreover, sports are beneficial for body and mind. Through this, the bond of brotherhood will be created among the Bangladeshi youth in the diaspora.
Convenor Zakir Hossain and joint convenor Tanveer Alam Jani told that our platform is to unite cricket fans in Portugal. There are plans to organize a cricket tournament with expatriate Bangladeshis living in Portugal next month. Our initiative is to bring together all those associated with cricket and sports.
