Cricket tournament for Bangladeshi students held in China
A month-long BPL cricket tournament was held with the participation of Bangladeshi students studying at Zhengzhou University in China. Such an arrangement creates an opportunity for students to meet after Corona.
The second season of the ZZU BPL cricket tournament started with the opening match on 18th February and concluded with the final match and prize distribution ceremony on 19th March.
The group stage of the tournament was held with the participation of a total of four teams based on the region. The participating teams in the tournament are - Dhaka Kings, Chittagong Warriors, Noakhali Vikings and Sylhet Super Strikers. The two teams at the top of the points table, Dhaka Kings and Chittagong Warriors, play the final. Dhaka Kings achieved the glory of champion through great competition.
Ashraful Alam, a Bangladeshi teacher of the chemical engineering department of Zhengzhou University, was in charge of the overall management of the tournament. Shariful Islam, Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Abdullah Al Mamun and Masum Pradhaniya and many others.
Chittagong Warriors player Mayez Uddin Shakeel was selected as the man of the series by taking the highest number of runs and the highest wickets in the tournament. Dhaka Kings captain Mehdi Hasan Babu won the man of the match award in the final.
During the prize distribution and closing ceremony, the guests thanked the organizing committee for conducting the BPL tournament smoothly and beautifully from the beginning to the end. Besides, he expressed the hope of organizing BPL season three in a more grand manner next year.
