Embassy`s condolences on the death of a Bangladeshi in the US

The US Embassy in Dhaka has expressed condolences over the shooting death of Bangladeshi student Ramim Uddin Ahmed Yaz (22) in Missouri, USA.

Condolences were expressed in a post on the embassy's Facebook page on Thursday (July 20) afternoon.

It says, 'Deep condolences to the family of the Bangladeshi student who was killed in the robbery incident in Missouri. We hope that the appropriate authorities will bring the perpetrators to justice through a thorough investigation into this heinous crime.”

Before this, the murder happened at the BP gas station in the 1100 block of Hampton Avenue in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday morning (July 18) local time.

It is known that the deceased Yaz is the second son of the deceased freedom fighter Samchuddin Ahmed of Ward No. 4 of Valukia area of Mirsarai Upazila of Chittagong.

According to local police, the young man was working at a gas station in the 1100 block of Hampton Ave in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, around Tuesday morning local time. At that time, a group of terrorists tried to break the window of Yaz's car parked outside. A gunman opened fire on Yaz when he stopped them.

Later the police came and took Yaz to the hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. The killed Bangladeshi youth Yaz used to work at that petrol station.
