New committee of Rajshahi University Alumni Association in W DC

The first executive committee of Rajshahi University Alumni Association has been formed in Washington DC. In a general meeting, Dr. Azizur Rahman Mridha was made the president and advocate Kazi Wahiduzzaman Swapan was made the general secretary of the committee.

Former senior teacher of the university, Mirza Wazed Ali, Md. Atiyar Rahman, Engineer Nazrul Islam, Engineer Mahfuzur Rahman, Sohrab Ali, Nazrul Islam Koel, and Sharif Hossain have been advised.

The 27-member committee also includes - Vice-President Ivy Hasan, Anwar Mamun, Dewan Monirul Haque Himu; Co-General Secretary ASM Chowdhury Kaykobad, Mozammel Hossain Jilu, and Hasinur Rahman Titu; Mohammad Abdul Halim Treasurer, Shamima Tasmin Information and Education Secretary, Ahmed Azam Publicity and Sports Secretary, Amena Parveen Women Affairs Editor, Salahuddin Social and Entertainment Secretary, Karthik Roy Legal Affairs Secretary, Nargis Fatima International Affairs Secretary. Besides, Fatema Siddique, Abul Hasan, Farhana Hamid and Lamia Ahmed were made full committee members.

Incidentally, this organization debuted in 2021 as a collective effort of over a hundred former students, teachers and their family members living in the Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area.
