BUET Sarathi 93 batch arranged global reunion in Toronto
In 1993, a meeting of former students of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) held by HHC was held in Toronto, Canada. The Global Reunion of Batch 93 was held in Toronto on July 22 and 23.
174 Buet family members from as far away as Bangladesh, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, United States and United Kingdom gathered in Toronto for the life fair.
In a press release sent by the organizer 'Buet Sarthi 93', it is said that the Dhaka Survey School established in 1876 is well known at home and abroad as BUET. About half a million BUET graduates are working abroad with reputation.
According to 'Buet Chariot 93', the two-day reunion began with prayers for the forgiveness and well-being of the deceased and sick friends.
On the first day of the event, Toronto's Donvalley Park Hotel was crowded with friends, distribution of souvenirs, and fun food. The next morning everyone was taken for a tour from Toronto to Niagara Falls. The children and teenagers of the family were involved in sports activities at the Queen Stone Heights Park in Niagara. In the evening of the festival, the Sarthi family's cultural program was held in the first phase, and the singing performance of renowned artist Tapan Chowdhury was in the second phase!
Apart from this, there was also a discussion about the Sarthi family's donation for various disasters in Bangladesh. Global Reunion Convener Hasibul Hasan Shawon suggested an Asian country for consideration for the next reunion.
