Bangamata`s birth anniversary celebrated in Bangladesh Mission US

The 93rd birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatun Necha Mujib, wife of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was celebrated at the Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the United Nations.

New York local time (August 9) was organized by the United Nations Permanent Mission to Bangladesh.

At the beginning of the program, a special prayer was conducted asking for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyred members of the Bangabandhu family who were brutally killed by the bullets of the assassins on August 15, 1975, including the Father of the Nation and the Mother of the Nation. This was followed by the reading of speeches by the President and the Prime Minister and a special documentary on the life and work of Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nesha Mujib.

Ambassador Mohammad Abdul Muhith, the permanent representative of Bangladesh appointed to the United Nations, gave a speech during the discussion. He said, independence is the most glorious history of our national life. The greatest hero of this history is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and after Bangabandhu, Bangmata Fazilatun Nescha Mujib acted as the most important catalyst in the creation of this history. Because he was a fearless, faithful and fearless companion of the father of the nation in his long struggle and all crises.

Ambassador Mohammad Abdul Muhith said, Bangabandhu was in jail for more than a century for our freedom. During Bangabandhu's absence, Bangamata spent her savings on party workers and party needs. He has kept the party activities going by giving necessary directions.

He said, Bangamata was possessed of extraordinary wisdom and talent among ordinary people. She is a unique example of women's empowerment in my eyes as a symbol of Bangabandhu's utmost confidence in the implementation of important decisions of the state during her imprisonment.

He also said that the Prime Minister has acquired many qualities from the ideals of Banga Mata. The women of Bangladesh will contribute to the development of the country and nation by being inspired by the life philosophy and values of Bangmata.
