Bangladeshis praised for mosque service activities in Madrid
Over the decades countless people in European countries have taken shelter under the cool shade of Islam, the religion of peace. They have built beautiful mosques in these countries. The number of mosques in Europe has increased.
Spain is one of the most touristic countries in Europe. Spain also has many mosques and Islamic Maktab-complexes. One of these mosques is the Baitul Mukarram Bangladesh Mosque run by Bangladeshis in the capital Madrid.
The activities of the mosque management committee were appreciated by Bangladeshis and Muslim community as well as non-Muslims as they provided continuous relief and opened the mosque in cooperation with the Bangladeshi human rights organization Association Valiente Bengal to help the needy during the last corona restrictions.
As a result, during the Covid-19 crisis, the Muslim community's support for emergency services, burials, food delivery, healthy food facilities, drug delivery and counseling has been appreciated throughout Spain. Later, he visited mosques at different levels of the Spanish government. During the visit they congratulated everyone for their hard work during the tough times of Covid-19.
Muslim rule in Spain is often called the Golden Age of Enlightenment. Where libraries, schools and baths were established, literature, poetry and architecture flourished. Both Muslim and non-Muslim communities contributed greatly to it.
Currently, Baitul Mukarram Bangladesh Mosque in Madrid is involved in religious and social activities of many Muslims. Marriage, divorce, legal advice, conducting Friday and Eid prayers all over the country, sending people for Hajj, monitoring animal slaughter in halal way, burying dead bodies, providing support to orphans and helpless families and many other such services are done by this mosque.
A huge library has been established here on the initiative of the mosque. Along with this, various meetings and seminars are sometimes organized in the auditorium of the mosque to present Islam to non-Muslims. Apart from this, special seminars are held here to clear the misconceptions of non-Muslims about Islam.
In addition to infrastructure development, the mosque is not only for offering prayers, but also for spreading the good ideals of Islam in the society, with the aim of promoting, spreading and developing Islam and promoting the true message of Islam, including the brotherhood and values of Islam. The president is Khorshed Alam Mazumder, a symbol of community unity. Alamin Mia, the former senior vice president of Bangladesh Association in Spain and the leader of Dhaka Fruits, one of the largest Bangladeshi companies, has been given new duties as the general secretary.
Mosque-centric service activities are going on
21-member advisory committee including regional 12-member executive council. Community leaders hope that the newly formed committee will set a rare example for Bangladeshis in Madrid by implementing all the renovation and development plans of the mosque.
