`Genocide Day` was remembrance in different country
National Genocide Day. The day was observed on Saturday (March 25) in countries including India and Turkey with due dignity. Besides, the High Commissions took various programs on the occasion of the day.
'Genocide Day' was celebrated at the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, India. On the occasion of the day on Saturday (March 25), a discussion program was organized at Bangabandhu Hall of the High Commission.
The day is observed to commemorate the brutal, barbaric and heinous massacre in human history called 'Operation Search Light' by the Pakistani invading forces on the sleeping, unarmed and innocent Bengalis on the dark night of 25 March 1971.
At the beginning, a minute's silence was observed to pay deep respect to the memory of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the great liberation war including the martyrs who died on the black night of March 25, 1971. In addition to speeches by the President and the Prime Minister and an open discussion, a documentary film on the 1971 genocide and slaughterhouses was screened.
Mostafizur Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh posted in India, highlighted the background of Genocide Day in his speech and said that although Genocide Day is celebrated nationally on March 25, it has international significance and relevance. He said, "In addition to remembering those who have been victims of genocide in various countries of the world including Bangladesh, the scope and significance of this day is immense in ensuring the eternal end of genocide from the world and the justice of the perpetrators of genocide."
At the end of the discussion, a special prayer was offered for the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs who played a historical role in every phase of the Bengali freedom and independence movement, including the black night of March 25. Bangladesh High Commission officials, employees and expatriate Bangladeshis were present at this time.

'Genocide Day' has been celebrated by Bangladesh Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. At the beginning of the program, all those present stood and observed a minute's silence in memory of all the martyrs of the 25th March Kalrat in the embassy auditorium. Ambassador M Amanul Haque read the President's speech on the occasion of the day and Defense Adviser Rashed Iqbal read the Prime Minister's speech. Then, on the occasion of the day, a documentary made on the night of March 25 of the ministry was screened.
Immediately after the screening of the documentary, a discussion meeting was organized highlighting the importance and significance of Genocide Day. At the beginning of his welcome speech, Ambassador Amanul Haque paid humble respect to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and all his family members. And on March 25, 1971, Kalrat called Operation Search Light by the Pakistani invasion forces as the world's worst and rarest massacre in history. He paid deep respect to the souls of all the martyrs who died on 25 March Kalrat and in the Great War of Liberation. He pledged to continue all efforts to achieve international recognition of Bangladesh's genocide. Also, he concluded his speech by calling upon the father of the nation, Bangabandhu, to uphold freedom on Genocide Day and realize the dream of building a prosperous and prosperous Sonar Bangla, inspired by the spirit of the great liberation war.
