Iftar Mahfil on the occasion of Independence Day in Portugal
A discussion meeting and Iftar mahfil was organized on the occasion of Bangladesh's 52nd Independence Day in a restaurant in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. It was organized by Portugal Awami League on Wednesday (March 29).
Portugal Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League and leaders and activists of various organizations participated in the event, including various people from the Bangladesh community located in Portugal. The speakers present in the discussion meeting presented the background of Bangladesh's glorious history of independence and various developments of the country.
The main speaker of the program, Portugal Awami League President Zahirul Alam Jasim, in his speech, paid deep respect to those who sacrificed their lives in the war of independence. He announced various plans to organize the Awami League in Portugal.
Acting General Secretary of Portugal Awami League Delwar Hossain and others condemned the conspiratorial activities of various anti-independence forces. They said Bangladesh is moving forward with Bangabandhu's dream. Evil forces want to stop the development of the country.
It should be noted that Portugal Awami League comes forward in various service activities for expatriates and conducts their various activities for the welfare of the community.
