Malaysia sent 12 thousand expatriates in 3 months

Malaysia sent a total of 12,380 foreigners back to their respective countries from January to March 29 this year. The Malaysian news media The Star reported that the director general of the country's immigration department, Datuk Ruslin Jusoh, gave this information.

Among those repatriated are 9,606 men and 2,774 women and most of them are citizens of the Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar.

3 categories of foreigners are repatriated – one being those who have completed their prison term. Two, those detained by the Immigration Department at various times and three, those handed over to the Immigration Department by the law enforcement agencies.

There are still 11,650 illegal immigrants in 21 immigration depots including temporary detention centers in Malaysia.

The Director General of the Immigration Department of Malaysia said that under the Human Resource Reform Program announced on January 10 this year, 27,572 organizations have registered the names of 3,22,182 illegal immigrants under the Illegal Immigrants Recalibration Plan 2.0.
