Portugal Jubo League celebrates `Historic Mujibnagar Day`

Bangladesh Awami Jubo League Portugal branch has organized a discussion meeting on the occasion of 'Historical Mujibnagar Day' in Portugal.

A discussion meeting was organized in the Bangladeshi-dominated area of the capital Lisbon on Monday (April 17) local time.

Speakers in the meeting highlighted the importance and significance of the day. They said that the first government of Bangladesh was formed on this day. Besides, victory in the war of independence was achieved through this government. At the behest of Bangabandhu, this government was formed to centralize the nation. Bangabandhukanya is currently leading the development of the country in the ideal of that leadership.

President of Portugal Awami League Zahirul Alam Jasim was present as the chief guest of the discussion held under the direction of Portugal Jubo League leader Tanveer Alam Jani and chaired by Anupam Mehdi Anu. Acting General Secretary Delwar Hossain was present as the main speaker. Office Secretary Zakir Hossain, Publicity Secretary Rezaul Baset Shimul and Jamal Uddin were present as special speakers.

Earlier, Portugal Jubo League leader Khandaker Yunus Fahad, Mainul Islam Rajan, Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan, Jewel Rana Pradhan, Zahid Hasan, Saiful Alam Shams, Shaker Ahmed, Javed Mahmud, Portugal Chhatra League leader Sajin Ahmed Kaushik, Noman Hossain, Ekram Raja and Kauchar spoke. Ahmad

It should be noted that on the orders of Bangabandhu, in his absence on April 10, 1971, the first government in the history of Bangladesh was formed with Syed Nazrul Islam as the Vice President and Tajuddin Ahmed as the Prime Minister. On April 17, this government started the journey and led the liberation war through the oath of the cabinet.
