Publication ceremony of Japanese painting book on Bangabandhu

On the occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh-Japan friendship, the second publication of the comic book 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu' in the form of Japanese painting 'Manga' has been held in Tokyo, Japan on the struggle life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The publication event was organized at the auditorium of the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo on Sunday (April 30).

Bangladesh Ambassador to Japan Shahabuddin Ahmed was the chief guest at the event.

The ambassador said, the contribution of Bangabandhu for Bangladesh has been beautifully highlighted in the book 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu' through pictures and descriptions. By reading the book, children and teenagers will get to know Bangabandhu, as well as learn about the history of Bangladesh's independence.

Special guest writer and journalist Manjurul Haque said, there has been no such comic book about Bangabandhu. As this comic book is published in three languages, it will attract the youth of Bangladesh as well as the youth of Japan. It will also help English readers to know about Bangabandhu. An animated movie from this book would add another dimension.

Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Aiwama Kiminori said that it is a great thing to publish this manga comic book about Bangabandhu during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's visit to Japan. This added another dimension to Bangladesh's friendly relationship with Japan.

Shikha Murakami, Head of Bangla Radio Division of Japan Broadcasting Corporation, ME Chowdhury Shamim, founder of Scholars Bangladesh Society, author and publisher of the book, Yemoto Kieta, CEO of Shine Partners Corporation Japan, co-author of the book were as special guests. Scholars Bangladesh Society co-founder and CEO Dilara Afroz Khan Rupa conducted the event.

The book was handed over to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister, who were visiting Japan, at the Akasaka Palace in the capital of Japan on Friday. ME Chowdhury Shamim, founder of Scholars Bangladesh Society, the author and publisher of the book, and Engineer Golam, the main sponsor of the book, Advisor to Scholars Bangladesh Society, Chairman of Max Group, President of BUET Graduates Club, gave the book to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her sister. Mohammad Alamgir.

At that time, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was informed about the release and publication of the remaining four parts of the book published in five parts and the Prime Minister gave her valuable directions.
